    Philips is teaming up with cities to
    bring them into the digital age

     

    This Indonesian city has taken a major step towards reaching its smart city goals thanks to the recent installation of Philips CityTouch and upgraded LED lighting, resulting in increased energy savings and lowered operational costs.

    The recent CityTouch installation, which was integrated with the systems already in use, helps establish a scalable smart city program with a resilient concept in place and allows energy offices to work more efficiently while saving on operational expenses.

    Utilizing the CityTouch workflow app, which designed exclusively for lighting, officials of the city of Siegburg, Germany, are now able to efficiently streamline workflows, improve maintenance response times, and more.

    Los Angeles

     

    With more than half of its street lights already converted to LED, the city of Los Angeles connects 110,000 light points using Philips CityTouch and connector nodes with plug-and-play activation. With its new lighting management system, Los Angeles is a on its way to becoming a smart city.
